Американский канал CBS выпустил первый трейлер приквела сериала «Теория большого взрыва», в центре событий которого окажется 9-летний Шелдон Купер. Действия развернутся в Восточном Техасе, когда юный персонаж уже ходит в старшую школу.

Как сообщает Entertainment Weekly, каждый эпизод «Молодого Шелдона» будет длиться около получаса, а сама комедия в отличие от «Теории» станет однокамерной, как, например, «Силиконовая долина».

Режиссёром «Молодого Шелдона» стал Джон Фавро, известный по «Железному человеку», «Книге джунглей» и сериалу «Офис». Ожидается, что Джим Парсонс, сыгравший Шелдона в «Теории большого взрыва», появится в некоторых эпизодах. Выход сериала запланирован на сентябрь 2017 года.
